Courses of Study

STUDIES

All students are required to declare both a major and a minor by no later than the end of their sophomore year. The minor must be a subject not covered by the major. The choice of major may be changed in the junior year but students who change their major may be required to stay in university for additional semesters in order to complete their course of study. Students are allowed to petition the deans for a second minor or to replace their minor with a second major. Schedules will be provided for each student at the beginning of each school year, at which point they will be informed of how many electives they may select for each term. Freshmen and Sophomores should be aware that they are expected to take two courses during a summer term. If students have any questions or concerns, they should contact their adviser.
